Workshops

Two workshops will be held at the ASWC Conference on 7th December, 2009 in Shanghai, China. It has played important part of our conference for researchers to discuss and exchange ideas concerning focused Semantic Web topics. We welcome everyone to join our workshop program to be creative and emerging topics familiar with interactive and informal formats including industrial issues.

Asian Workshop on Scalable Semantic Data Processing

Date: 9:00~12:00 7th December, 2009
Venue: Fuxuan Hotel 400 Guoding Road, Shanghai, China

The aim of this workshop is to open a forum to discuss the scalability issue related to the infrastructure of the Semantic Web, such as, semantic data repository and inference engine. As the Semantic Web and its data are becoming widely employed, scalability is an essential condition for the practical usage.

Increased performance and stabilization in dealing with the huge amount of information described in Semantic Web languages like OWL and RDF(S) boost the use of the Semantic Web. This workshop seeks to bring together researchers and practitioners to share their recent ideas and progressesntowards building scalable storing, querying, and reasoning of Semantic Web data.
